Vision & Values

Nicomekl Elementary Community School

Community participation has many benefits for the education of our children, including improved academic performance in reading and math; improved student and teacher attendance; reduced dropout rates and higher graduation rates; improved behavior; gains in indicators of positive youth development such as leadership and conflict resolution skills; greater parent involvement; and community benefits, such as better use of school buildings and safer neighborhoods.

Our staff, administration and parents have been working to examine the benefits of Nicomekl becoming a Community School.
