Hello fellow parents,
The Parent Advisory Council (P.A.C.) is a parent run/volunteer based organization here to support the staff, parents and most importantly the students at Nicomekl Elementary School.
The School Act recognizes the important role parents play in their child(ren)’s education, and every parent/legal guardian who has a child attending Nicomekl is automatically a voting member of the P.A.C.. The elected P.A.C. Executive’s act as the official collective voice of the parents of their school.
It is a proven fact that parent involvement equals student success. Our organization keeps present in our school community through: advocacy, maintaining our community connection by hosting fun events/parent education opportunities, and providing in school volunteer support.
We also provide financial assistance for (including but not limited to): field trip buses, and guest presenters; in addition to several outreach initiatives like: a Compassion Fund, Reading Club, inclusion programs, and so much more.
We invite you to participate in our monthly meetings held every second Wednesday of the month at 5:30pm. Please feel free o join us for our monthly meetings either in person or on ZOOM. Meeting topics can include: playground expansion, fundraising, parent concerns, and planning school events. We also regularly post on our Facebook page “Nicomekl Elementary PAC”, and meeting information is sent home through email.
